I want to share a trick that will improve your photos, selfies, and videos.
You see, folks with ADHD can be overly sensitive grating sounds or discordant sights. If it’s subtle, we know something feels off. But what? Eventually we realize, “That picture is not hung straight.”
For example when my mother took photos they always looked awkward. It wasn’t until I was directing my TV series, History Bites, that I figured out why.
When one of the camera operators, Ric Arsenault, kept tweaking and adjusting the framing for a simple shot I asked what was wrong. He explained a simple exdercise that he, and I’m sure all camera pros, use to frame the shot in a pleasing way.
Now, I always use this trick before I take a photo or record a video. Bonus, when looking at some old family photos, I finally realized why I found them so irksome.
