Jess speaking:
Have you ever noticed it’s really impossible to get somewhere right on time?
That’s because right on time is like an exact minute, and that’s a very small target to hit.
So I have a new strategy, which is to create windows of time for myself. If I need to be somewhere at 5, and I have to drive there, I’ll aim for between 4:45 and 5:00.
If that’s my window, then probably I’m going to be early. Not so early that my ADHD brain is going to be like, “Why?? This is so boring and long and forever taking!”
But, I can still play that game of: “Can I get there on time”; but my target is now 4:45.
I don’t think any strategy in the world is going to make it so that we’re never late. Everyone is late sometimes, but I hope this helps you a little bit.
