The most effective mnemonics use humor and positive imagery to help you recall facts, so think of a song, joke, poem or rhyme that will help you memorize important segments of information. The simpler the mnemonic, the better it will be to not forget.
In order to remember the place you put things, it may be beneficial to organize your belongings. By getting similar items put together, you do not have to concern yourself with scrambling around, seeking things. Also, you can test labeling boxes or canisters, writing down exactly what is in each box. This is certainly sensible, whether you do have a good memory or not.
It is essential that you stop drinking sugary drinks, like soda, if you are attempting to boost your memory. Believe it or not, sugary drinks improve your glucose levels level, which, deteriorates your brain function and memory. Instead, make an effort to drink a minimum of 8 servings of water every day.
As soon as you learn a new challenge, teach it to a different person. Make an effort to memorize things in sets of 7. According to studies, a persons capacity for Short Term Memory, or (STM) is 7, add or minus 2. This is the reason humans memorize things best in categories of 7. This can be why, as an example, your phone number is seven digits.
Try not to keep memories in your thoughts that are unneeded, like information you are aware you may never lose. It really has been medically proven that getting rid of useless information frees up space inside the brain for information that you are actually getting use away from.
